Updates about Astor and Saulcy

Last Thursday, July 23, Stringtown Now stood up against predatory developers and presented once again against the proposed 242-unit apartment complex at Astor and Saulcy during the the Regional Center hearing. The hearing examiner had a lot of issues with the proposed design of the building, which we wholeheartedly agree with, and he ultimately did not approve their plan as it was presented on that day.

The case will be heard again on August 27 at 10:00am in room 2001 (20th floor of the City-County Building).

The hearing examiner has asked them to redo a lot of their design in attempts to make it fit in more with our neighborhood, so we look forward to seeing their updated plans and we will share them as soon as we get them.

Thank you to everyone who showed up to show their opposition! Let’s do it again on August 27th and show them that Stringtown deserves better!

In solidarity,

Stringtown Now
